Grant me, O Lord, a steady hand and watchful eye, that no one shall be hurt as I pass by. Thou gavest life, I pray no act of mine may take away or mar that gift of Thine. Shelter those, dear Lord, who bear my company from the evils of fire and all calamity. Teach me to use my truck for other’s need; nor miss through love of undue speed the beauty of the world; that thus I may with joy and courtesy go on my way. St. Christopher, holy patron of travelers, protect me, and lead me safely to my destiny. In Jesus name, amen.
Bendito San Cristóbal, tú que tuviste la gracia de llevar a Jesús sobre tus hombros, que tan fuerte y poderoso te sentías, y el Señor te hizo ver tu pequeñez y tu vida se llenó de luz, cuando descubriste como su fuerza y no la tuya, te hacía esta vez sí, verdaderamente fuerte. Glorioso San Cristóbal pide a tu amado Jesús, que nos libre de todo mal. Dame Señor mano firme y mirada vigilante para que a mi paso no cause daño a nadie. A ti Señor que das la vida y la conservas, suplico humildemente, guardes hoy la mía en todo instante. Libra Señor, a quienes me acompañan, de todo mal: choque, enfermedad, incendio o accidente. Enséñame a hacer uso también de mi coche, para remedio de las necesidades ajenas. Haz en fin, Señor, que no me arrastre el vértigo de la velocidad, y que, admirando la hermosura de este mundo logre seguir y terminar mi camino con toda felicidad. Te lo pido, Señor, por los méritos e intercesión de San Cristóbal, nuestro Gran Patrono. En nombre de nuestro Señor Jesus, amén.
